Join us for our 62nd season as we welcome guest instrumental and vocal ensembles and seek to introduce the orchestra to a new generation of listeners.

FAMILY CONCERT: Introduction to the Orchestra

Join the Orchestra for a performance of classical and popular music for the whole family. Highlights include selections from the Broadway musicals Annie and Frozen along with an introduction to the instruments in the orchestra. A post-concert "Meet the Instruments" event will take place in the Arts Center Gallery with the musicians and their instruments. Desserts and drinks will be available for purchase before and after the performance.

We'll be home for Christmas as the Orchestra, Choral Society and KC Concert Choir return to where it all began 62 years ago, the City Hope Church Auditorium (formerly the Centralia High School Auditorium). Join us in this beautifully restored and holiday decorated venue to celebrate the season with holiday favorites. The Phil'zHarmoniks student string ensemble will greet audience members with Christmas selections in the lobby/cafe prior to the performance while costumed characters and a season-themed photography exhibit complete the holiday experience.

SACRED MUSIC CONCERT

The biennial event returns as the Orchestra, Choral Society and Kaskaskia College Community Chorale come together for an afternoon of instrumental and vocal selections highlighting the sacred music repertoire. Featuring a combination of ensembles and soloists, this event has become an inspirational musical precedent for the Easter season.

SPRING CONCERT

Kaskaskia College Percussion Ensemble
     Cliff Jourdan, Director
The Orchestra closes the season with a performance highlighting the percussion section and all of the instruments and sounds that includes. In addition to the Orchestra's percussionists, the Kaskaskia College Percussion Ensemble will perform. Meet the percussion players and see a display of percussion instruments from around the world in the Arts Center Gallery following the performance.
